A Point of View

Seth, the god of devil and desert killed his own brother.

Do you consider that mythology is an art? Well, I do. I reckon that mythology is to satirize humankind.

Every civilization has their own religion, and a religion has its own gods. But some of the gods is same with us, they suffer. I consider that Egyptian and Norse gods suffer the most; they always wanted to be the mightiest god. Like Odin, the major god of Norse, he help the strong side to win a war, he never let the weaker wins. And Zeus, the major god of Greece, he give birth to many children that are mostly half-breed, hybrids, and illegitimate child; while Seth, the desert god of Egypt killed his own brother.

Ancient people might create these legends to satirize the life of human. Many gods are like humans, they live with jealousy and greedy.

And war gods, were only an imagination to let soldiers believe that they were blessed. Some of those war gods might be a real hero, but a dead people can’t possibly bless someone.

Gods, in my opinion, were used to let people have confidence. They don’t really exist. In proper religion, like Christian, Muslim, and Buddish, their worshipers don’t rely on their god(s). Proper worshipers learn the moral of their religion, not to learn how to be a god. Ancient people battle in a war because they believe they can become a god after they died.
